Best Meat Loaf

This pan is a must for anyone who enjoys meat loaf regularly.  Not only does the fat drop to the bottom, it makes getting the meat loaf out of the pan easy, without it breaking apart!  This is the one I have, and recommend.
You may ask, who needs a recipe for meat loaf?  In my search for the one perfect recipe for everything, I can honestly say I will only use this recipe.  Much better than my just throw a few things in the bowl attempts....

​Ketchup Sauce Topping
 3 TBS butter
1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
1 tsp sugar
½ cup water
Salt and pepper to taste

Meat Loaf
 2 cups fresh bread crumbs
1 medium onion chopped fine
2 eggs lightly beaten
1 ½ pounds ground beef
1 TBS Worcestershire sauce
1 TBS dry mustard
2 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ cup water

Directions
  1. Preheat oven 350.
  2. To make topping heat butter in saucepan, whisk in the rest of hte ingredients till smooth.  If sauce becomes too thick, add more water.  Makes 1 cup sauce.
  3. Butter 11 X 14 baking dish (or use meatloaf pan - recommend)
  4. Mix all the meat loaf ingredients in a large bowl.  Shape meat into meat loaf and spread 1/2 cup ketchup sauce on top.
  5. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour, or till internal temperature reaches 160 degrees.
note:  make bread crumbs with fresh bread in a food processor or blender - pulse till very fine.
