PATTY LABELLE’S MACARONI AND CHEESE
Kathy got this recipe off a television show where Patty Labelle was a guest. Made it for a dinner party with the executives of my company and everyone asked for the recipe!
1 TBS oil 1 pound elbow macaroni ½ cup shredded muenster ½ cup shredded mild cheddar ½ cup shredded sharp cheddar 8 TBS + 1 TBS butter ½ cup shredded Monterey jack 2 cups half and half 1 cup Velveeta, cubed 2 large eggs, beaten ¼ tsp salt & pepper Directions Cook macaroni as directed on package with 1 TBS oil, drain. Melt butter; add to macaroni with half and half and 1 ½ cups of the shredded cheeses, cubed Velveeta, beaten eggs and salt & pepper. Put in 2-½ inch deep casserole dish and sprinkle with remaining ½ cup of shredded cheese, dot with 1 TBS butter. Bake at 350 till bubbling, about 35 minutes. |
